If a conductor hostname is changed while reservations are issued to a conductor with one hostname, such as 'hostname' and then the process is restarted with 'new_hostname', then the queries would not match the node and effectively the nodes would become inaccessible until the reservation is cleared. This patch clears the reservation when stoping the ironic-conductor service to avoid the nodes becoming inaccessible. Overview
Ironic consists of an API and plug-ins for managing and provisioning physical machines in a security-aware and fault-tolerant manner. It can be used with nova as a hypervisor driver, or standalone service using bifrost. By default, it will use PXE and IPMI to interact with bare metal machines. Ironic also supports vendor-specific plug-ins which may implement additional functionality.
