oslo.context is pretty small and therefore easy to introduce mypy for. Minimal type hints are added, along with tox targets to validate things. We can build on these in the future if we'd like to. Oslo Context Library
The Oslo context library has helpers to maintain useful information about a request context. The request context is usually populated in the WSGI pipeline and used by various modules such as logging.
