
This patch does the following: - Move the CONTRIBUTING doc content into the developer documentation - Move the development-stack doc content into the developer documentation - Rename all instances of 'OpenStack Ansible' to 'OpenStack-Ansible' - Implements a simpler navigation index for the bottom of the page - Implements a navigation index at the bottom of all developer docs - Updates the README to reflect where to get documentation and further information - Adds more information into the 'scripts' developer doc - Updates the 'Additional Resources' Appendix with Ansible information Change-Id: Ic08ba072f3b3d1e4e446d1e81c20c0cdf01833de

Configuring the operating system
Check the kernel version, install additional software packages, and configure NTP.
Check the kernel version. It should be
3.13.0-34-generic
or later.Install additional software packages if not already installed during operating system installation:
# apt-get install bridge-utils debootstrap ifenslave ifenslave-2.6 \ lsof lvm2 ntp ntpdate openssh-server sudo tcpdump vlan
Add the appropriate kernel modules to the
/etc/modules
file to enable VLAN and bond interfaces:# echo 'bonding' >> /etc/modules # echo '8021q' >> /etc/modules
Configure NTP to synchronize with a suitable time source.
Reboot the host to activate the changes.
